Melissa and Travis {Fall Wedding at Meadowlake Ranch}

Fall weddings have a special place in my heart. Of course the colors and milder temps play a role, and we certainly had those factors going for us on a beautiful November 13th Sunday at Meadowlake Ranch in Sand Springs. What a wonderful couple in a beautiful setting!! The food truck for dinner and making smores were both big hits at the reception. Many thanks to Paige Wallace for 2nd shooting the wedding with me. Here are some of my favorite images to highlight Melissa and Travis’ day:

Amanda and Justin {Stillwater Fall Engagement Session}

Sometimes when I’m editing pictures of my clients, I think to myself, “I just love these people.” That definitely happened as I went through Amanda and Justin’s engagement images! It helps of course that they are so evidently in love and have a good time together! We were so grateful for the most beautiful fall day complete with all the colors! I photographed the wedding of one of Amanda’s friends this past May where Amanda caught the bouquet Kaitlyn tossed, and I’m thrilled to pieces to be able to now work with Amanda and Justin for their special day coming June 2017 at Sparrow! Here’s a preview of the engagement session! (This is my first blog post since a July wedding; the blog is back and running after some needed TLC and I hope to review some of the highlights of this past fall).

Ross and Rebecca’s Stillwater Wedding

So excited to share Ross and Rebecca’s wedding pictures today! The ceremony took place at St John’s in Stillwater with reception following at Rosemary Ridge Event Venue west of town. There were many special moments throughout the day. Getting ready was a sweet time as Rebecca wore the pearls her dad gave her mom on their wedding day 🙂 Rebecca also did a first look with her dad, and it’s evident in his eyes how much she means to him! Ross wore his full National Guard dress uniform and the groomsmen wore American flag lapel pins with yellow ribbon to salute the military. I love the ceremony pictures anticipating Rebecca’s entrance down the aisle! The reception tables were decorated with books and quotes, some will be highlighted here, but all so wonderfully romantic and fitting for this couple! When the wedding party entered the reception, they joined Ross and Rebecca in an upbeat fun dance, followed by the bride and groom’s first dance. I loved that after the mother-son dance, all mothers and sons were invited to the dance floor! So sweet!! At the end of the night the guests awaited outside with their ribbon wands as Rebecca and Ross shared a last dance together. It’s been a total pleasure to work with these two from engagements in January, to the bridal portrait session in June and now July wedding 🙂 Thank you to Paige Wallace for 2nd shooting this wedding with me. Here’s a preview of the wedding images:

Oh my goodness, look at those cuties 🙂

This cute sign bearer booked it down the aisle like my son did almost two months ago! So I had the practice for the fast walker, and thankfully a long aisle 🙂

This cake topper was first used in Rebecca’s grandparents’ wedding in 1954 and then her parents’ in 1988!

Seirra and Cody’s Southern Wedding

Sierra and Cody’s May 29th wedding was incredible! It was during a stretch of time where I had a wedding every weekend from May 13-June 24, and many of those weddings involved out of state travel. Though the bride and groom received all their images several weeks ago, I haven’t had the chance to blog it until now and it absolutely needed to be shared here!! The bright and beautiful colors, vintage seating for the ceremony, southern setting, stringed quartet, live band at reception, and helicopter exit made this wedding unforgettable. It was personally special to me because I’ve known this bride since we were grade school age when her family lived in Stillwater, before they moved back home to Texas. Sierra’s wedding dress and the flower girl’s dress included pink material from her grandmother’s wedding dress – how awesome is that?! After the ceremony, guests walked though the house to the back yard where the reception awaited. After an evening of dancing and visiting with loved ones, the bride and groom walked through the tunnel of sparklers to the helicopter take-off!! Even better than all the gorgeous and thought out details and events of the day was the emotion between these two reflected in their first look together and the ceremony. After knowing each other for over 14 years, the long awaited day was so worth it! It was an honor to be there and capture this sweet day! Thank you to Leah Boaz for 2nd shooting with me.

Ashley and Trent {Rosemary Ridge Event Venue}

Ashley and Trent’s June wedding at Rosemary Ridge, west of Stillwater, was totally gorgeous. So many thoughtful details went into creating an atmosphere that felt soft and whimsical with the light pink and gold accents. Ashley and Trent had some of the most impressive wedding cakes I’ve ever seen!! The ceremony was short and sweet but so beautiful with the sunlight and setting; the reception was a really fun PARTY, as guests were entertained by the Jason Young Band! Here’s a quick preview of the wedding day images. Congrats Ashley & Trent!
