Madison and Clayton {Stillwater Wedding}

Madison and Clayton had a morning wedding this past September. I love morning weddings! Also loved Madison’s blush colored dress, and the fantastic people involved in this day. The ceremony inside the Sheerar Center was light and bright with an awesome custom backdrop made of old doors, decorated with greenery by the bride’s talented aunt (she also made the bouquets/arrangements). The ceremony was very touching, with happy tears and big laughs. Following the ceremony and big confetti send-off down the stairs, guests walked one block south to the reception at the Community Center, where the brunch meal was ready. One of my favorite parts of the reception was having all fathers and daughters come to the dance floor after Madison and her dad were half way through with their dance. Same for the mothers and sons! So fun to see the mothers and sons of all ages get to dance together. Later in the evening we met up on campus for a few more bride-groom pictures 🙂 Thank you to Brittany Smith for 2nd shooting with me.

Madison and Clayton {Spring Engagement Session}

Since many couples are in the midst of planning weddings and engagement portraits for the spring, I wanted to share Madison and Clayton’s pictures from last April. Think I went through longer periods without blogging sessions last year, but now I want to catch up on what I can. We started this session one morning on campus and then finished up around my house. Madison and Clayton had a “camping” theme for their wedding decor and save the date cards, so we played on some of that theme for the pictures at our house. I loved every moment of working with this couple from their engagements to wedding. I’ll blog their September wedding next!!!

Kelli and Brendan {Dallas Engagement Session}

Kelli and Brendan are a sweet couple who are getting married next October! I met them this summer in Stillwater when Kelli was a bridesmaid at Maggie and Michael’s wedding at Rosemary Ridge. Here are some highlights from their engagement session this past October at the Arboretum and near White Rock Lake in Dallas:

Natalie and Jesse {Colorado Elopement}

This past September Natalie and Jesse had an intimate elopement ceremony at Sapphire Point near Breckenridge, CO with a few special family members present. The Aspens had started turning and the scenery was spectacular. My husband and I went up a couple days early to explore to area, find nice picture locations, and the dates coincided with our 10 year anniversary.
Natalie had a special first look planned for Jesse 🙂 It was a first for me as a photographer too! It was such a treat to be able to spend a good amount of time with this couple before the ceremony, getting pictures of them in a variety of areas around Breckenridge. Two weeks following the ceremony in the mountains, the couple celebrated with more family and friends in OKC. Empire Pizza was the perfect place for the laid back, enjoyable reception, decorated amazingly by Throckmorton Event Planning. A recap of the sweet events:
