Hunter and Rachel’s Summer Wedding {Ennis, TX}

Recently I’ve designed three wedding albums for Hunter and Rachel and their parents, so I used their album selections for this blog post to recap the beautiful August day. This wedding was memorable for many reasons, starting with the groom who was a member of our youth group in 2008-2009 when Jerett and I were youth ministers at the Cowboy Church of Ennis. Another member of that youth group worked this wedding with me as my second shooter. (Picture at the end of the post) We are so happy for Hunter to have found Rachel and that we were able to photograph this special event. Because of the uncertainty covid caused in 2020, this couple changed both their date, and at the last minute, their reception location. The reception venue couldn’t have been more perfect though. It was wonderful to have this gorgeous setting for portraits and the very fun celebration with family and friends following the ceremony at St John’s in Ennis. It had been 10 years since I last shot a Czech wedding, but the traditions remained! Enjoy the pretty details, emotions and fun of August 22, 2020:

Thank you to Leah Boaz for shooting this wedding with me and being my go-to favorite 2nd shooter for Texas weddings!! Since I waited over 4 months to blog this wedding, Leah and I both have had baby boys. I was 27 weeks, Leah 26 weeks pregnant for this awesome wedding!

Nikki and Blake’s Summer Wedding at Sparrow

Nikki and Blake had a really special 10 person wedding at Sparrow July 7, 2020. They were the first couple to take advantage of our “Mini Wedding” package offered by these fantastic Stillwater professionals: Garden Party Florist, Glo Salon, Shake Rattle and Roll, I Think So Cakes, and Sparrow! Nikki and Blake’s children had roles in the sand ceremony and vows during the wedding, along with cutting the cake as a family and signing the marriage license. The ceremony was live-streamed so that more family and friends could watch without being there in person. Everything needed for a beautiful and memorable wedding fit perfectly in 3 hours! With many couples making necessary adjustments to their wedding plans this year, we were thrilled to be able to work with this couple and their loved ones in this awesome setting. Here are the highlights:

Brett and Taylor {Stillwater Wedding}

It’s a year of plans changing and needing to be flexible. While many of my couples are making the tough choice to push their weddings back months (and in some cases a year), Taylor and Brett opted to move their 300-guest June wedding up to May 1st and commit their lives to one another before 10 immediate family members at St. Francis in Stillwater. While those 300 family and friends weren’t physically present, they were able to watch online, and something like 250 did!! With the ceremony from 5:00-6:00 we had really great light streaming in the huge west windows that made for pretty images. Following the ceremony, there were sweet friends waiting outside the church to drive by and wish the couple well!! It made for great pictures and will always be a fun memory. After the portraits at the church we went to a nearby country property for a few more pictures and peaceful moments for the couple. I am so grateful our paths crossed and we got to work together these 5 hours on a Friday 🙂 Flowers by Garden Party.

High School Senior Portraits: Hulsey

The class of 2020 is going to have to be a resilient bunch, able to roll with the punches this spring has brought! Hulsey is a member of this class, and I enjoyed spending some time with her for pictures this week. Though the standard events that happen March-May of a senior year have been post-poned or cancelled, it was really special to still be able to do senior pictures. Hulsey’s friends joined at the end of the session for a few group shots. Best of luck to you this fall at Arkansas!!!

Bridgett and Zach {March Rosemary Ridge Wedding}

Bridgett and Zach had a beautiful, relaxed wedding at Rosemary Ridge March 7th. It was probably one of the last wedding weekends before events were cancelled and post-poned. I’m so thankful to have been at this wedding! It was so good to have it indoors because March 7th was a windy day 🙂 Still, we got those pretty outdoor shots, and especially thankful for the sunset and sky that night. Loved the shade of blue the wedding party wore and the green accents in decor. Awesome day with close family and friends, and good time with the energetic crew on the dance floor! Congrats Bridgett & Zach!!
