Jennifer and Chris were married at Five Oaks Lodge in Jenks, OK. Getting married with a lake as the backdrop was meaningful since this couple met wakeboarding while in college at OSU. They pulled in thoughtful details to represent their relationship and shared interests, like love for the outdoors. The cakes and centerpieces included flowers, deer sheds, and pheasant feathers. A trail mix bar and pictures of their hiking adventures rounded out the reception decor in the lodge. It was perfect and beautiful! The bride and groom saw each other before the wedding and read letters to each other, one of several touching moments throughout the day. After having met 9 years previously, it was so awesome to see how God wove these lives together and brought us all together October 18, 2015 to celebrate the joining of these two special lives, now to be one 🙂 Now that I’ve photographed the weddings of each of the Broaddus daughters, there are some special traditions I’ve got to see twice: during the ceremony, family members from both sides of the family sign a bible for the couple; during the reception the bride’s uncle reads a special poem he has written for the couple; during the father-daughter and mother-son dances, after the first few moments of each, all fathers and daughter (and mothers-sons) are invited out to the dance floor to join. Love all those special traditions! Here’s a preview of the wedding day images:
